Clostridium perfringens type C – Escherichia coli Bacterin-Toxoid
Indications
For use in healthy pregnant swine as an aid in the prevention of colibacillosis and enterotoxemia in their nursing piglets. A purified, adjuvanted product containing four major E. coli antigens (K88,K99,F41,987P) and C. perfringens type C toxoid.
Administration and Dosage
When used alone shake well and administer one 2 mL dose intramuscularly or subcutaneously to healthy pregnant swine at 5 weeks and again at 1-2 weeks before farrowing. In subsequent farrowings, administer one dose 2 weeks before farrowing. When packaged with ProSystem®Rota or ProSystem®TGE/Rota refer to insert for full directions.
Caution
Store in the dark not over 45oF (7oC).Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened; do not save partial contents. Use only in healthy pregnant swine. Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.
Antidote
If allergic reaction occurs, treat with epinephrine. Contains thimerosal and polymyxin B as preservatives.
