This study was designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of concurrent use of an indoxacarb spot-on (Activyl®, Merck Animal Health) and a 4% deltamethrin-impregnated collar (Scalibor®, Merck Animal Health) in the immediate and long term control of Ctenocephalides felis fleas and Rhipicephalus sanguineus ticks on dogs.

Indoxacarb Kills Developing Stages of Fleas in the Environment of Treated Cats

These studies demonstrate that developing stages of fleas in the environment of treated cats are killed for at least five to six weeks following a single spot-on application of indoxacarb at the minimum recommended dose.

This study evaluates the efficacy of Activyl® (indoxacarb, Merck Animal Health) treatment for resolving clinical signs of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) in privately owned dogs.

Field efficacy of Activyl® for flea control in dogs and cats.
A series of field studies were conducted in client-owned dogs and cats naturally infested with fleas, to confirm, under a variety of geographic areas and field conditions, the efficacy of a novel spot-on formulation containing indoxacarb (Activyl®).

A study to evaluate the speed of kill of Activyl® when applied on dogs for the treatment and control of flea (Ctenocephalides felis) infestations.
This study was conducted to determine the initial speed of kill, how fast fleas die on the day of Activyl® (indoxacarb, Merck Animal Health) application, and the persistent speed of kill, how fast newly arriving fleas die throughout the month after application.
