Equine Strong

My love of horses began at age three, when my grandfather started taking me to weekly lessons at a nearby hunter–jumper barn. We welcomed my first horse into our family when I was six, and our “herd” expanded as I grew. In my teens I transitioned into three day eventing while also enjoying barrel racing on the side. I competed and learned through IEA, 4 H Horse & Pony, and IHSA at Purdue University. Today my husband and I have two horses, April and Chance, both of whom I trained and competed with growing up. After graduating from Purdue, I joined Purina Animal Nutrition as a Lifestyle Production Specialist, where my passion for horses evolved into a focus on improving animal health and performance. I feel fortunate to work in a field that lets me promote the overall health and well-being of horses!

Teamwork

I joined the Merck Animal Health Equine Team in September 2025 and feel lucky to work with such a talented group. We come from different backgrounds but share one goal: giving the best possible care to our clients and their patients/horses. We mix hands on horsemanship with technical know how and research-backed options to solve problems in the barn and out in the field. We listen first, communicate honestly, and follow through so our veterinarians and care teams feel supported every step of the way.
