In our latest series, I Am Animal Health, colleagues from around the world share their stories that exemplify the great work we do — and remind us why we strive to be the best animal health company in the world. Here, we feature Cheyney Meadows, VMD, PhD, associate vice president, Global Animal Health Research

When Dr. Cheyney Meadows completed his training, he had a choice to make. With both a veterinary degree and a PhD, he had the option to enter academia or industry. “Both were appealing to me because it’s an opportunity to innovate and to be on the leading edge of animal health,” he said.

Cheyney says it matters that as a company, we make a difference in the world. “I tell my friends, I tell my family and I tell my children, that we are part of something big and something important. And I don’t know if everybody has the good fortune to be a part of something like that. It’s personally fulfilling, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”
