Dr. Nikhil Joshi is a highly skilled animal health professional, with a unique blend of business and clinical experience. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Maryland, graduating magna cum laude. After completing his undergraduate studies, he worked as a consultant with a global professional services firm, advising clients in the healthcare, non-profit, and public service industries.
Dr. Joshi subsequently enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (VMD) degree and a certificate in Veterinary Public Health, showcasing his dedication to not only individual animal care but also the broader aspects of public health in relation to animals.
As a veterinarian, Dr. Joshi has worked in both emergency and general practice settings, which has afforded him a broad scope of clinical experience with a diverse range of clients and patients. To integrate his veterinary training and business background, Dr. Joshi earned an MBA from Boston University with high honors.
Dr. Joshi has served as the Merck Animal Health Professional Services Veterinarian for the Mid-Atlantic Region since 2020. In this capacity, he plays a crucial role in providing expertise to veterinary professionals, with a focus on promoting the well-being of animals and supporting the veterinary community.
Dr. Joshi maintains a deep interest in global public health and animal welfare. He has traveled domestically and internationally to provide veterinary care to animals in need. He shares his home with his wife and their two adopted pets, a cat named Hamilton and a dog named Daisy.
