Take a virtual tour of Lumar Dairy

At the 2025 Dairy Calf and Heifer Association Annual Conference, Louie Borba presented a virtual tour of Lumar Dairy, highlighting how he continues a legacy of dairy farming that began in 1969 when his parents immigrated from the Azores and started milking with 50 cows.

During the video tour, Borba shares his journey to improve calf health while milking 1,800 cows and raising 700 calves annually. Borba details how the right calf care team and embracing new technology helped him significantly decrease reoccurring illness and reduce culling numbers in his calves.
