Tissue Sampling Unit (TSU) & Accessories

The Biomark Tissue Sampling Unit (TSU) and related accessories enable clean, easy, and efficient collection of tissue samples. Each TSU includes a collection vial with DNA preserver solution, single use stainless steel blade punch, and a safety clip. TSUs are available in a box of 10 or 100, or in stackable trays of 96 vials.

Accessories include the Biomark Fish Friendly Applicator, TSU AFX Large Applicator, Socket Mobile Scanner, aluminum vial opener, and aluminum pliers.

Socket Mobile DuraScan D740

The Socket Mobile DuraScan D740 is a universal qr code reader with Bluetooth® wireless technology and a highly durable exterior. Ideal for outdoor damp conditions, scanning both 2D and 1D barcodes. The scanner’s IP54-rated outer casing withstands dust and water splashes to keep up with the demands of an industrial work environment. Its antimicrobial material is easy to clean, helping protect from germs picked up with dirt in fisheries and wildlife settings.

TSU AFX Large Applicator

The TSU AFX Large Applicator is both large and very robust, designed for heavy duty work on large adult fish or mammals. The Tissue Sampling Unit (TSU) applicator is used in conjunction with the TSU to collect the sample by cutting the tissue and sealing it into the TSU vial.

TSU Box (100)

The TSU Box (100) bulk packaging option is a box of 100 TSUs with consecutive ID numbers in cardboard trays of 20 vials per tray. This is optimal for large quantities where the well plates are not needed. Customized numbering available with special orders.

Biomark’s custom design fish friendly applicator is designed for use on juvenile fish and is light-weight with easy one hand operation. The TSU applicator is used in conjunction with the TSU to collect the sample by cutting the tissue and sealing it into the TSU vial.
