Merck Animal Health Introduces Nobivac EDGE™ Low-Dose Canine Vaccines
Madison, N.J., February 19, 2019 – Today, Merck Animal Health introduced Nobivac EDGE™, a line of convenient, low-dose vaccine options with 50 percent less volume (0.5 ml) than standard (1 ml) vaccines. These vaccines offer the same efficacy as standard vaccines with administration options for veterinarians to best meet a pet owner’s preference and needs.

Reduction in the volume of vaccines is significant for dogs or puppies that become easily distressed at veterinary appointments, resulting in faster administration and a more comfortable vaccination experience. Nobivac EDGE™ DAPPv+L4 was found to be 99% reaction-free in a clinical impressions trial involving administration of 1,583 doses to dogs of all sizes.
Nobivac EDGE™ low-dose options offer a variety of vaccines, including:
- Nobivac EDGE™ LEPTO4, the first and only 0.5 ml leptospirosis vaccine shown to be effective against disease, mortality and leptospiruria (urinary shedding) for dogs of all sizes.
- Nobivac EDGE™ DAPPv, the only 0.5 ml that provides protection against parainfluenza, distemper, adenovirus type 1 (hepatitis) and parvovirus in one formula.
- Nobivac EDGE™ DAPPv+L4, the only 0.5 ml combo vaccine to provide parainfluenza protection in combination with four-way leptospirosis protection.
